Tessera is seeking an outstanding and knowledgeable Weapons Repair Specialist with a professional attitude. This role involves efficiently repairing, overhauling, and rebuilding small arms for both conventional uses and for weapons involving accurization. The specialist will conduct initial inspections, disassemble, repair, and replace components on small arms. They will also perform operational tests, gauging, and provide training. A key part of the role is inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing all designated supported weapons, as well as performing preventative maintenance checks and detailed cleaning to restore weapons to serviceable condition. The specialist must maintain a deep understanding of weapon systems, firing mechanisms, and operational safety requirements, strictly following AR 190-51 procedures for the security of arms, ammunition, and sensitive items. This includes enforcing controlled entry to the weapons repair shop, ensuring restricted access to authorized personnel only, and safely transporting weapons in compliance with installation policy and AR 190-51 escort, packaging, and routing rules. It is crucial to ensure all weapons entering the shop are cleared, verified safe, and tagged before work begins.
