About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Precision Engagement Systems (PES) is seeking two Weapon System IPT Lead (Level L) based in St. Charles, Missouri supporting Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM), Small Diameter Bomb (SDB) and MOP/HAAWC/B61 programs. Weapons programs are fast paced and dynamic and the selected IPT Lead will be an integral member of the leadership team for each program. The SDB Air Vehicle IPT Leader will drive cross-functional execution of programmatic, business and technical strategies, goals and objectives of a high-rate production contract as well as several product development efforts. The SDB Air Vehicle IPT leader will ensure seamless coordination of deliverables, communication, and requirements across all contracts for the SDB program specifically for Mission Systems and All Up Rounds (Air Vehicle). This Weapon System IPT leader for Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP), High-Altitude Anti-Submarine Warfare Weapon Capability (HAAWC) and B61 Programs will drive cross-functional execution and problem solving for strategic munitions spanning the lifecycle of product development and sustainment. Complex work scope, supporting US Navy and two USAF Program Offices, is spread across 7 contracts (16 Delivery Orders) which include IDIQ, multi-year option, NTE and UCA’s. World events are driving significant pressure to expedite deliveries and maintain high-level comms with Department of War. The IPT Leader leads cross-functional product teams through development, production, and sustainment of work scope including but not limited to Launch System Integration, Weapon Modules/Simulation, Mission Planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions, or initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience in program management of technical programs for aerospace or other engineering business areas
  • 1+ years of experience in a management role working with both direct reports and business unit leaders
  • 3+ years of experience with RIO (Risks, Issues and Opportunities) processes and tools
  • 3+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

  • Experience with Direct Attack Weapons and/or Cruise Missile Systems
  • Active U.S. Secret (or higher) Clearance
