About The Position

Cerity Partners is a Barron's top 100 RIA firm and one of the fastest growing in the nation, seeking passionate students to join its collaborative community of financial professionals. This role is for new college graduates in Summer 2027, offering opportunities in financial planning, investment management, tax advisory, or operational excellence. The Wealth Planner role provides comprehensive wealth management strategies consistent with clients’ goals and values, supporting a Wealth Advisor in managing client relationships. The planner will develop individualized financial plans and recommendations, assist with client meetings, and present findings. New hires will participate in Cerity Partners University (CPU), a four-week in-person training program in Louisville, KY, covering client work basics, the Cerity Partners Way, and preparation for the Series 65 exam. Travel and expenses for training are covered by the firm. After training, colleagues return to their local office to begin their wealth management careers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Series 65 (to be obtained within three months of hire date)
  • 0-2+ years financial planning, estate planning and/or tax planning/ preparation experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist advisory team with onboarding of new clients: customize our standard contract with new client information, obtain all appropriate forms from custodian, and work with each new client to ensure accurate completion. Coordinate submission with the custodian for processing.
  • Responsible for cash transfers, wires, data maintenance, reporting and trading as needed.
  • Processing account openings, depositing electronic checks, moving money, and processing tasks with custodians.
  • Proactively interact with clients and assist in creating an outstanding client experience.
  • Schedule client meetings.
  • Receive client calls and resolve questions/issues as needed.
  • Analyze and input client data into financial planning software.
  • Assist with the timely completion and submission of all client related transaction requests.
  • Preparing forms and reports for client meetings.
  • Conduct independent research and build financial plans for prospective clients.
  • Develop client recommendations with assistance from the Wealth Advisor.
  • Assist in building comprehensive financial plans.
  • Organize and maintain the CRM system (Salesforce), utilize financial planning software (eMoney).
  • Ongoing maintenance and quality control of CRM.
  • Other duties as assigned
