About The Position

Bluerock Wealth Management, part of the Hightower network, is seeking a Wealth Planner to join their collaborative financial advisory practice. This fiduciary, fee-only firm emphasizes providing reliable, thoughtful, and straightforward advice through a holistic, data-driven, and inclusive approach. The Wealth Planner will be a key team member directly contributing to client value by supporting Wealth Managers in servicing client relationships, onboarding new clients, and handling complex financial planning needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Planning is preferred.
  • CFP®, CFA or Series 65/66 is required.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • One to three years’ experience in providing personal financial advice, which includes investment, tax, estate, and insurance planning.
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or possess other unrestricted U.S. work authorization and will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred.
  • Strong preference for someone with experience working at a fee-only RIA (registered investment advisory) firm.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Wealth Managers to service client relationships and facilitate the onboarding of new clients.
  • Support Wealth Managers on clients with a higher level of complexity.
  • Oversee a schedule of client reviews with Wealth Managers and coordinate meetings with clients.
  • Prepare for client review meetings, attend meetings with a Wealth Manager, take notes, and follow up on action items.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new clients and support existing clients, including communication with the Operations department.
  • Gather and organize client financial information from various sources to create and implement customized financial plan recommendations.
  • Comprehend and flowchart estate planning documents.
  • Collaborate with the investment team on investment-related tasks.
  • Respond to client service requests.
  • Assist in the training of other wealth planners.
  • Review deliverables created by team members and provide guidance.
  • Communicate effectively across teams.
  • Continue to expand knowledge across all departments of financial planning, including investments, education planning, insurance, tax, retirement analysis, and estate planning.
  • Achieve proficiency in relevant technologies, including eMoney Financial Planning software, Black Diamond performance reporting platform, BNA Income Tax Planner, Salesforce, Fidelity's Wealthscape platform, and Schwab Advisor Services platform.
