About The Position

The Wealth Planner will plan, implement, and monitor the lifecycle of assets, ensuring they are properly acquired, maintained, utilized, and disposed of. This role involves analyzing asset performance, risks, and costs, and recommending improvements or replacements. The Wealth Planner will work with clients primarily in the $5-$15 million investable assets spectrum to deliver customized solutions in multiple wealth planning areas based on their goals and objectives. This includes creating client-facing custom-designed outputs, developing comprehensible explanations of sophisticated wealth planning strategies, and clearly communicating complex financial planning concepts, estate, wealth transfer, and liquidity event strategies, including their tax implications, family dynamics, and other risks. The role requires quickly identifying, pursuing, and presenting solutions aligned with the client's best interests, participating in client meetings, and working within a team environment to deliver integrated planning services. The Wealth Planner will also ensure enterprise-wide consistency by working across various internal teams on process, communication, and deliverables, and develop integrated estate and financial plans for U/HNW clients through partnering with colleagues and Advisors. Keeping abreast of legislative and tax changes, participating in the sales process to grow revenue, and cultivating and maintaining relationships with Advisors are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the role involves participating in client and community events, presenting at Company sponsored events, and partnering with Marketing in content creation for various audiences to attract high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients. The Wealth Planner will also coach and mentor colleagues on different wealth planning topics.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable expertise in multiple areas, including estate planning and wealth transfer, liquidity event planning, portfolio design, transfer tax planning, asset protection planning, strategic tax management, and retirement funding, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Current on innovative wealth planning solutions, including the use of different advanced planning techniques
  • Outstanding presentation skills, written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding Word, Excel, and PowerPoint creation abilities
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within banking, RIA or wire-house culture.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct estate planning, estate and gift tax planning, and liquidity event exit planning experience.
  • JD required
  • Bachelor’s: Finance, Juris Doctor (JD): Business Administration, Master's: Business Administration
  • General Experience - 3 to 6 years
  • Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) - Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)
  • Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) - National Center for Housing Management (NCHM)

  • Additional advanced degree (e.g., LLM, CPA) or additional advanced certifications (e.g., MBA, CFP, CEPA, CTFA) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated estate and financial plans for U/HNW clients through partnering with colleagues and Advisors
  • Keep abreast of legislative and tax changes

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with Advisors directly and in partnership with colleagues

  • Partner with Marketing in the content creation process for both large and small audiences, with the goal of attracting high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients
