About The Position

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Wealth Management, in a financial institution preferred.
  • Prior sales and new business development experience required.
  • Proven experience advising clients on investments, pre- and post-retirement planning, education planning and financial planning.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents.
  • Possesses professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate to clients directly and effectively.
  • Ability to utilize telephone systems and possess good digital literacy including email, internet and intranet use.
  • Prior experience or the ability to learn excel, power point and any other computer program pertinent to performing the job duties.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations and proportions to practice situations.
  • Ability to compute rate of return and to interpret performance metrics.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.
  • May be required to lift 30 pounds in weight.
  • Ability to travel on occasion to all market areas and attend seminars or training sessions offsite.

Nice To Haves

  • FINRA Series 7, 63, 66 and NY Life & Health license are preferred, but not required.
  • A background screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

  • Provide solutions across a diverse product set to help meet customers’ goals.
  • Collaborate with business partners to generate referrals for wealth opportunities
  • Generate recurring fee and commission relationships to achieve revenue targets
  • Adhere to the complexity of FINRA guidelines and bank compliance
