About The Position

Our organization is strong, and we’re getting stronger. Our Inside Sales team supports our industry leading Wealth businesses. On this team you will connect with some of the most entrepreneurial, spirited, energetic people who will help you become an expert in your craft. As a Wealth Management Intern (Student/New Grad Position), you will support the sales team by providing activity management and case support to ensure the right follow up and coordination through the sales process are met and allow the sales team to focus on generating new sales and growing the advisor base. You will also be part of supporting the implementation of multiple territory business plans.

Requirements

  • Have completed or are in the process of completing a post-secondary education in Commerce or a related degree.
  • Are completing, completed, or are strongly motivated to complete their CSC/IFIC certification
  • Bring experience in sales, hospitality or other client-facing roles that require strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Are growth oriented, self-starters, problem solvers, active listeners, and passionate about wealth management/investing, the markets, finding solutions, and working with people
  • Focused and interested in building strong, collaborative relationships
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Are goal oriented and are passionate about learning how various sales processes can provide a clear path for the sales team to drive sales results
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled at a recognized Canadian college or university or have graduated within the past eight months.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the external wholesaler (Regional Sales Manager) and inside wholesaler (Regional Sales Representative)
  • Manage activity for the territory (i.e. booking meetings with advisors)
  • Clear the path & support on wholesale opportunities by sorting, prioritizing, and responding to incoming advisor inquiries and follow up with key contacts to maintain advisor confidence in sales process
  • Report on Salesforce opportunities, segmentation and activity management, as well as leveraging our internal sales reporting system to measure sales results
  • Prepare for special events and campaigns
  • Implement operational and sales support tactics
  • Facilitate weekly team meetings with a prepared agenda to elicit collaboration and efficiency within territory
  • Ensure data integrity by inputting and maintaining advisor related information in CRM database, Salesforce, as changes are required
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Participate and attend sales conferences and meetings
  • Attend workshops to improve your presentation skills, product knowledge, among many others
  • Explore opportunities with Canada Life by collaborating with other departments and learning about various business functions and roles available upon your graduation
