About The Position

Within Wealth & Investment Management (WIM), our Banking, Lending & Trust organization delivers tailored financial solutions to meet the complex needs of high-net-worth individuals and professional services firms. Wells Fargo is seeking a Wealth Banking Director – Professional Services to lead and grow a specialized banking practice serving private equity firms, and other advisory-based organizations. This senior leader will drive strategic growth, lead a high-performing team, and deliver seamless, integrated client experience across banking, lending, and wealth solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Wealth Management Banking - Professional Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
  • Ability to travel as needed (approximately 25%)
  • Flexibility to work across multiple regions and time zones
  • Must meet and maintain applicable FINRA licensing and regulatory requirements
  • Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. In lieu state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA review process at the time of offer acceptance
  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience serving professional services clients (e.g., private equity, legal, consulting, or alternative asset management firms)
  • Demonstrated success building or scaling a specialized banking or client segment business
  • Strong knowledge of lending, credit structuring, treasury management, and wealth solutions

  • Experience working within a complex, matrixed organization
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • FINRA Series 7 & 66 (or equivalent) or ability to obtain within required timeframe

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, growth, and execution of a national Professional Services banking practice
  • Build and deepen relationships with senior executives, partners, and decision-makers across client organizations
  • Develop and deliver holistic financial solutions by partnering across Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, and Investment Banking
  • Own business performance, including P&L, balance sheet management, and risk oversight
  • Lead, coach, and develop a geographically dispersed team of Relationship Managers and banking professionals
  • Drive new business development through internal collaboration, external networking, and client engagement
  • Establish and maintain a strong risk and control environment, ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Optimize processes, scalability, and operational effectiveness across the business
  • Allocate resources strategically to support growth, client experience, and business priorities
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and professional development
