SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES The Wealth Advisor is responsible for managing a book of investment management relationships while maintaining high-level knowledge of financial and estate planning, investment management, trust administration and regulatory requirements. This position serves as primary point of contact to clients and promotes retention and growth of existing relationships and the development of new business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of five years wealth management experience
  • PC proficiency, demonstrated strong communication skills, both oral and written, strong math aptitude.
  • Thorough knowledge of the interpretation and practical application of investments and financial and estate planning.

Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative functions in coordination with the Wealth Associate that include: account openings, account additions, financial transactions, questions and complaints, asset/cash monitoring, account closing, fee processing, compliance oversight of account, regulatory reporting.
  • Prepares account information with assistance of Wealth Associate for the Management Oversight (MOC) Committee.
  • Obtains and maintains current financial information and other critical information necessary to successfully manage relationships.
  • Understands the financial, retirement, and estate planning goals of client.
  • Works with Portfolio Manager to establish and/or review investment objectives with clients.
  • Identifies problems and resolves them effectively and in a timely manner. Ensures problem resolution follow-up is performed, especially with the client, if necessary.
  • Initiates client contact to provide proactive, value-added client service.
  • Provides expert advice/solutions for financial issues and inquiries.
  • Works with Private Wealth team on the sale of new business and additions to existing relationships.
  • Strives to achieve standard pricing for new and existing relationships.
  • Conducts sales presentations and client meetings as appropriate.
