About The Position

WBG Pioneers, the World Bank Group’s Internship Program, offers undergraduate and postgraduate students a high impact learning experience at the heart of global development. Participants gain hands on experience in a diverse and dynamic environment, contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas, and connect with international professionals working to end poverty on a livable planet. A department of the World Bank's Development Economics Vice-Presidency (DEC), DEC Development Impact's (DECDI) purpose is to increase the use of impact evaluation in the design and implementation of public policy and to develop institutional capacity and motivation for evidence-based policy. The DECDI Analytics team seeks to recruit interns to support the World Bank Reproducible Research Initiative. The World Bank Reproducible Research Initiative is dedicated to enhancing transparency and rigor in empirical research. Over the past two years, our team has published nearly 300 reproducibility packages for World Bank papers and reports in the World Bank Reproducible Research Repository. Building on this success, we have recently expanded our mandate to include papers from the Policy Research Working Paper (PRWP) series. The intern will assist in the reproducibility verification of working papers published in the PRWP series and in verifying that reproducibility packages published in the World Bank’s Reproducible Research Repository are operational. Our initiative provides interns with a unique opportunity to contribute to global research standards and gain hands-on experience in research verification processes.
