As a Wayfinding Coordinator (UI/UX Design) on SEPTA's Customer Experience Design team, you will help shape how millions of riders interact with transit through intuitive, accessible, and customer-centered digital experiences. Your work will improve how customers plan trips, navigate transit, and receive real-time service information on web, mobile, and station and on-board digital screens. Reporting to SEPTA's Manager of Wayfinding, your work will help lead SEPTA’s digital customer experience transformation, as SEPTA moves to become a best-in-class mobility provider. As SEPTA introduces new rail vehicles, advances the rollout of real-time customer communications, and begins the “Key 2.0” fare payment system modernization, you will design and enhance user interfaces, customer information systems, and digital wayfinding tools that make transit easier to understand and use. While your primary focus will be digital products, you will collaborate closely with colleagues responsible for maps, signage, and environmental graphic design to curate a seamless journey across physical and digital touchpoints. You will be supported by industry-leading colleagues while applying SEPTA's design standards, accessibility requirements, and brand identity across every project. You'll have the opportunity to learn from customers in stations and on vehicles, conduct user research, prototype and test new digital experiences, and translate real-world rider behavior into thoughtful, data-informed design solutions. Working alongside product managers, developers, communications professionals, and operations staff, you'll see your ideas evolve from concept through implementation, helping improve the daily experience of hundreds of thousands of riders.
