About The Position
Gracie Square Hospital, a psychiatric inpatient facility, is undergoing a period of transformation and revitalization. Through its affiliation with NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine, the hospital is renovating, growing its staff, and enhancing services. The Waxer/Stripper performs under the supervision of the EVS Supervisor, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors and corridors, and performing various housekeeping duties to maintain an orderly and sanitary condition. The role also involves going above and beyond for patients to deliver superior customer service and ensure their comfort and safety.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-6 months of hospital housekeeping experience
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
- Excellent customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Strips, waxes, and buffs floors and corridors.
- Performs a variety of housekeeping duties to maintain an orderly and sanitary condition.
