About The Position
Doncasters is seeking a self-driven individual with a commitment to implementing and leading change for an exciting opportunity as a Utility Operator at Doncasters Precision Castings-New England, located in Groton, CT. Doncasters is a leading international manufacturer of specialist superalloys and high-precision alloy components. The Groton facility is an industry leader in the development and production of precision cast components, including Nickel and cobalt based superalloy parts, engine structural components, and castings for fans, compressors, and combustors. The Groton site is one of the largest, employing 210 people and is growing. The role involves reading and understanding work instructions, operating machinery, assisting in assembly and production processes, and accurately recording job progress.
Requirements
- Prior experience in basic Assembly and Injection.
- On-the-job training.
- Experience in production positions preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand work instructions.
- Run the 50-ton press.
- Assist Assembly prepping and kitting gates.
- Extrude and cut Gates.
- Assist in pouring Gating molds.
- Properly record in the electronic production tracking system (EPICOR) the progress and completion of jobs.
- Change and check leach tanks for flipping and removing parts.
