The Waterjet Operator is responsible for operating a waterjet machine to cut parts, preparing parts for cut-off using a hydraulic mold separator, and performing minor adjustments on pieces. This role also involves setting up the machine for new parts, including fixture and program changes, and conducting minor maintenance such as nozzle and orifice changes, loading garnet, and clearing plugged nozzles and feed lines. The operator will also assist maintenance with more significant tasks, record operational and maintenance events, visually inspect cut parts, troubleshoot issues, and gauge parts as needed. Additionally, the role requires recording all work performed in Lot Control, maintaining a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety rules and Standard Operating Procedures, and performing other duties as assigned by supervision.
