About The Position
The Waterjet Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by precisely operating waterjet cutting machinery to shape and fabricate materials according to detailed specifications. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating waterjet cutting machinery or similar CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of reading technical drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to operate a forklift with previous experience.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in CNC operation or waterjet technology.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming cutting paths.
- Knowledge of materials science related to metals and composites.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate waterjet cutting machines to cut various materials such as metal, foam, plastics.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and computer-generated reports to determine cutting specifications.
- Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or deviations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of waterjet equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and engineers to optimize cutting processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, material usage, and machine maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies during machine operation.
- Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 75 lbs.), stand and walk for extended periods.
