About The Position

Operates a waterjet cutting machine to perform cutting jobs accurately and efficiently. This involves understanding part drawings or job instructions, cutting parts, and performing inspections. The role requires independent execution of all setups, a thorough understanding of machine controls, and the ability to perform basic programming.

Responsibilities

• Makes parts that conform to the drawing specifications.
• Meets or exceeds job time standards.
• Independently performs all setups and executes them efficiently.
• Troubleshoots problems with the machine control and part programs.
• Uses a forklift to load and unload material at the machine.
• Performs secondary operations such as drilling, tapping, and deburring.
• Completely and accurately fills out job paperwork and inspection reports.
• Keeps the work area clean and organized.
• Perform miscellaneous shop duties as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
