About The Position

Benesch is seeking an experienced professional engineer with a background in water/wastewater, water resources engineering, hydraulic and stormwater management, and environmental permitting. The ideal candidate will possess both the technical expertise and leadership potential to manage a wide array of projects. This role involves self-performance and directing project teams in the planning and design of water-related infrastructure projects, alongside managing client relationships. The position also includes contributing to strategic initiatives to foster the growth of the water/wastewater group nationally. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, with in-office work from MA or CT locations, and requires onsite presence for client meetings. Travel may be necessary for client needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with water resources, drinking water, wastewater, hydraulics and/or environmental permitting.
  • Licensed PE in Massachusetts
  • Excellent communication and client relation skills
  • Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to collaborate

Responsibilities

  • Managing the responsibilities for projects and employees
  • Control and review of scope, schedule, and budget; executing project work plans from start to finish
  • Resources available or ability to request resources to effectively complete successful projects
  • Ability to utilize accounting and scheduling software for project management
  • Coordinate with the Group Manager on project needs, company growth, and personal career development
  • Ownership of the financial aspects of the projects assigned
  • Marketing outreach ability including client contacts with existing and potential clients
