Position Purpose: Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex, large-scale capital infrastructure projects. This role serves as a subject matter expert, managing critical projects that have significant impacts on Operational, Financial, and Regulatory objectives. The position coordinates cross-functional teams and works transversally across business units to ensure strategic alignment and project success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in managing large/complex water/wastewater design and construction projects (treatment plants, pumping stations, transmission/distribution).
  • Thorough working knowledge of water/wastewater process applications and environmental regulatory frameworks.
  • Expert capability in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing complex projects.
  • Demonstrated "leadership by example" and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, including budget management and basic accounting.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, and experience with performance monitoring tools (e.g., Oracle).
  • Superior presentation and reporting skills; ability to communicate complex information to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • PMP and/or Construction Management certifications; Professional Engineer License (PE) is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of large-scale water/wastewater projects, from conceptual design and funding approvals through execution and project closeout.
  • Drive efficiency in project delivery by monitoring key performance metrics and utilizing alternate procurement and delivery methods.
  • Manage complex project budgets, perform ongoing risk/opportunity assessments, and ensure financial accountability.
  • Work transversally with corporate and local business units; act as a bridge between technical teams and leadership to ensure asset owner satisfaction.
  • Ensure all project designs adhere to corporate Technical, Environmental, and Health & Safety/Security standards.
  • Coordinate with local staff to manage environmental and governmental permitting processes.
  • Provide monthly status reports to management regarding project performance, risks, and milestone achievements.
  • Participate in the development of engineering design and delivery processes, and provide technical expertise for facility condition assessments.
