The position involves working in a team-oriented environment, leveraging technical expertise to develop solutions for a wide range of water/wastewater projects through the application of engineering knowledge and skills to support project delivery. The role can be based in any of Kleinfelder's New England offices: Boston, MA; Springfield, MA; Worcester, MA; Rocky Hill, CT; Portland, ME; or Manchester, NH. Many team members enjoy a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Strong technical expertise, specifically in municipal water and/or wastewater engineering and be fully capable of providing technical leadership and direction to project teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and technical writing skills.

  • Candidates with a Professional Engineering Registration are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Successfully contributes to projects by providing technical guidance, design and skill-based solutions for water and/or wastewater clients to deliver a full range of water-related engineering services.
  • Participate in technical, cost, and scheduling efforts, ensuring company quality standards (including internal quality control and risk management protocols such as peer reviews), and driving customer value.
  • Direct and coordinate water/wastewater activities including those with complex, multi-disciplinary involvement.
  • Coordinate with regulatory and funding agencies.
  • Participate in technical/project scoping activities and proposal presentations with targeted clients.
  • Assist in direction of project planning, budgeting, and establishing critical project objectives.
  • Work with clients, staff engineers, designers and subconsultants.
