Dewberry has an immediate opening for a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer experienced in water and wastewater planning, design and construction phase engineering services in our Parsippany, NJ office. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • 4-6 years of related experience.
  • Specific experience preparing reports and design plans and specifications for water and wastewater system projects in NJ / NY, including pipelines, pump stations, tanks, and treatment facilities.
  • NJ PE License strongly preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling including experience with WaterCAD and SewerCAD strongly preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus)
  • Familiar with GIS software.
  • Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other engineering and support disciplines.
  • Experience interfacing with clients and developing client relationships.
  • Willingness to travel, as some travel may be required.
  • Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required.

Nice To Haves

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus
  • NJ PE License strongly preferred
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling including experience with WaterCAD and SewerCAD strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and work within multi-disciplined teams for the planning, evaluation and design of water and wastewater system improvements, including: pump stations, pipelines, storage tanks, and treatment facilities.
  • Perform technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specifications, and plan preparation for water and wastewater projects.
