H2O is seeking Certified Grade 2/3 Water & Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators in the Dulce New Mexico. Work will consist of 12 hour days, 2 weeks on 2 weeks off shift-work (includes potential night shift-work) at a local Water & Wastewater Treatment Plan. Flights/travel and accommodations paid. Get your full year of pay, with only working less than half the year.

Requirements

  • A minimum of Grade 2 in Water/Wastewater disciplines is required
  • Experience operating and maintaining Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and related equipment is required
  • Must be flexible and demonstrate a dedication to the position and to the public services
  • Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Must be able to perform on-call services on a rotational schedule
  • Excellent and professional oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Consistently offering professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Ensures all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Supporting staff with the maintenance and operation of the treatment plants according to related Government standards
  • Conducting laboratory analyses and associated process adjustments
  • Maintenance and operation of the filtering and chemical treatment process
  • Maintain all related readings and documentation
  • Keeping a daily log and documenting of analytical parameters
  • Creation and completion of work orders for servicing and repairs
  • Supporting operations staff with vacation relief
  • Supporting with the purchase of goods and equipment, and maintain inventory
  • Supporting with data entry and reports to government agencies, departments, and other organizations as required
  • Conducts water level measurements and interprets data
  • Loads and unloads chemical and supplies
  • Performs calculations related to dosing, flow rates, and other weights and measures
  • Compliance with all safety and sanitation policies
  • Facilities maintenance including landscaping and vegetation control
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel and supervisors
  • Support with the clients, vendors and engineers
  • Shared on-call for emergency response
  • Training/support of other staff or on-site personnel
