About The Position

Reputable multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a Project Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their Springfield team! This role involves performing detailed engineering tasks, adhering to project scope, schedule, and budget, and handling complex assignments requiring new techniques. The engineer will work closely with project managers to ensure project goals are met, attend client meetings, and supervise less experienced staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 5+ years of related experience, preferably wastewater experience
• PE License
• Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed engineering tasks (project design, cost estimates, and design calculations)
• Adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure alignment with project objectives when preparing project documents
• Perform complex assignments that require development of new and improved techniques/procedures
• Ensure project goals/objectives are met by working closely with project managers on a variety of tasks (execution of design work, report overall progress, and inform project managers of any potential challenges)
• Attend client meetings
• Supervise, coordinate, and review work for less experienced staff members
• Coordinate tasks with other teams, professional staff, and clients
