HDR is looking for a talented Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Water Business Group in Atlanta-GA, Birmingham-AL, or Montgomery-AL.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Ability to make independent decisions and be accountable for the results
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater evaluation, analysis, design, and construction.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience executing technical studies, analyses, and/or designing and creating plans and specifications for water focused projects
  • Local candidates are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with projects through planning, design, and construction phases.
  • Project types could include water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure projects.
  • Technical investigation and analysis of various detailed studies.
  • Preparing reports relating water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and conveyance infrastructure and processes.
  • Support and advise project managers and technical staff in other disciplines and sections.
  • Complete technical analysis, write reports and technical memos.
  • Coordinate with sub-consultants.
  • Support senior staff to maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Produce documents in accordance with project scopes and quality program procedures.
  • Engage in regular contact with clients regarding ongoing projects and tasks.
  • Manage and lead specific tasks under the direction of sensor staff.
  • Occasional field construction observation and coordination may also be required.
