HDR is looking for a talented Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Water Business Group in Atlanta-GA, Birmingham-AL, or Montgomery-AL.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Ability to make independent decisions and be accountable for the results
Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

At least 5 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater evaluation, analysis, design, and construction.
A minimum of 3 years' experience executing technical studies, analyses, and/or designing and creating plans and specifications for water focused projects
Local candidates are preferred

Responsibilities

Assisting with projects through planning, design, and construction phases.
Project types could include water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure projects.
Technical investigation and analysis of various detailed studies.
Preparing reports relating water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and conveyance infrastructure and processes.
Support and advise project managers and technical staff in other disciplines and sections.
Complete technical analysis, write reports and technical memos.
Coordinate with sub-consultants.
Support senior staff to maintain project schedules and budgets.
Produce documents in accordance with project scopes and quality program procedures.
Engage in regular contact with clients regarding ongoing projects and tasks.
Manage and lead specific tasks under the direction of sensor staff.
Occasional field construction observation and coordination may also be required.
