Arcadis is seeking a Water Wastewater Engineer/Project Manager to lead and direct water and wastewater opportunities across central Virginia. This role will be based out of our Richmond, Virginia office. Requirements

  • 8 or more years of experience
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • P.E. License and ability to acquire PE Licensure in Virginia within 6 months.
  • Excellent technical engineering capabilities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and verbally.
  • Strong team leadership experience, including the capacity to manage overall project delivery expectations, prioritize tasks effectively, and provide mentorship to staff.
  • Exceptional technical writing skills
  • Established relationships or experience working with local municipalities.

Nice To Haves

  • Project management experience overseeing municipal water or wastewater projects of varying sizes.
  • Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • More than 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Active involvement in regional or national professional associations, industry organizations, and conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and directing the development of water and wastewater projects as a client-facing project manager.
  • Managing the planning, design, and construction administration of projects to ensure compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, codes, statutes, rules, and regulations, as well as Arcadis quality and safety practices.
  • Communicate with clients, establishing goals and objectives for project teams, and scheduling and coordinating resources to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the performance expectations of the client.
  • Provide technical expertise on multi-disciplined projects as a design leader, QA/QC reviewer or technical advisor.
  • Supervise and support the work of others while mentoring junior level engineers and technical staff.
  • Lead/Support teams in the marketing and proposal phases of projects including preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations, as well as developing scopes of work and budgets for various water and wastewater projects.
