The position is for an Early-Career Civil/Environmental Engineer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is required.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office software.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving history.

Nice To Haves

  • EIT certification preferred. If working toward EIT, should obtain within the first year of employment.
  • GIS experience is a plus.
  • Relevant co-op or internship experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design calculations for water distribution, pumping, and treatment systems and/or wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment.
  • Prepare bid documents including specifications and drawings.
  • Complete state, federal, and local permit applications.
  • Conduct fieldwork such as surveying, GPS data collection, infrastructure inspections and assessment, water sampling, and construction observation.
  • Contribute to reports detailing objectives, methods, results, and conclusions from field efforts.
  • Utilize technical software to support wastewater or drinking water projects.
  • Use AutoCAD to support planning and design.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff.
  • Potentially provide on-the-job training and mentoring for interns.
