Water/Wastewater Discipline Engineer
About The Position
A multi-discipline engineering firm with over 70 years in business is looking for a Water/ Wastewater Discipline Engineer for their Windsor office! This role involves using technical knowledge and experience to lead projects, managing them from planning and design through construction of wastewater conveyance systems, including pipelines, pump stations, storage, and end-of-pipe treatment facilities. The position also requires preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates, as well as leading the development of construction documents and specifications. The engineer will coordinate project tasks with other disciplines, develop medium to large planning and design projects, create complete construction packages, and manage cost estimates and project schedules. Additionally, the role includes preparing detailed engineering calculations and analysis, assisting with business development through proposal preparation and client management, and meeting or exceeding client expectations. Mentoring and training junior staff is also a key responsibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical or mechanical engineering or related field of study
- 8+ years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of municipal water/wastewater
- Prior experience in process design, treatment plants upgrades and pump station design
- Experience writing/developing proposals
- Experience utilizing design software to solve complex issues
- PE License
- Strong data analysis and technical problem solving experience
- Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Use technical knowledge/experience to lead projects

- Prepare, review, and approve project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
