Water/Wastewater Civil Engineering Intern
About The Position
We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Intern to join our Utilities team for Summer 2027. In this role, you will assist with data review, research codes and standards, help develop layouts, design concepts, and detailed drawings. You will use industry software, such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D, to generate drawings, reports, and other deliverables. You will also support your team in keeping projects organized and see firsthand how designs move from concept to completion. If you want to apply your engineering knowledge from the classroom to real projects, then WithersRavenel is where you belong. Internships are paid, full-time roles from mid-May through early August, with opportunities in our Cary and Charlotte offices. A housing stipend is also provided for the summer session.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Interested in applying classroom learning to real-world projects
- Detail-oriented, organized, and ready to collaborate
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Microsoft Office is a plus
