About The Position

As our Water Truck/ Laborer, you will use a variety of tools, heavy equipment, and commercial vehicles to support both site production and plant maintenance. Your primary focus will be loading and hauling water for dust control, material compaction, and plant suppression systems, while safely operating equipment to keep our facility running efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing similar responsibilities in a construction, mining, or manufacturing environment.
  • Valid Driver's License (CDL with Tanker Endorsement may be preferred/required depending on specific truck weight).
  • Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) utilizing American money, weight measurements, volume, and distance.
  • Strong commitment to safety culture and efficient operational habits.
  • Ability to safely handle and operate heavy site tools and machinery.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
  • Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Responsibilities

  • Load, haul, and deliver water to designated areas for dust control and plant suppression systems.
  • Assist motor graders by spraying material for proper compaction.
  • Safely operate vehicles and a variety of tools/equipment, including water trucks, bobcats, forklifts, pressure washers, power drills, grinders, and saws.
  • Load and deliver materials.
  • Use shovels or mechanical equipment to remove excess material from beneath the plant.
  • Perform light maintenance and lubricate machinery parts.
  • Conduct daily pre- and post-shift safety inspections on vehicles and equipment.
  • Identify mechanical or braking systems issues, record them on daily logs, and report them to the Supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs and truck performance reports.
  • Ensure timely delivery and unloading of products at customer sites while providing outstanding customer service.
  • Demonstrate a strict commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to all health, safety, environmental, and company policies.
