SUMMARY Reporting to the Foreman, the Water Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the water truck, with the goal of controlling dust and keeping road surfaces at optimum moisture content.

Requirements

  • 3-5 year’s water truck experience and high school diploma/GED or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
  • Ability to meet company and DOT driving standards.
  • Knowledge of water truck and other road construction equipment.
  • Knowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements.
  • Understanding of equipment controls and electronics.
  • Sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the Water Truck and other equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
  • Operate the Water Truck safely and efficiently
  • Fill truck tank with water
  • Spray water in designated areas
  • Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Water Truck.
  • Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.
  • Other related duties as required or assigned.
