About The Position

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Water Treatment Technician to support the US Army's Ground Vehicle Systems Center. This role involves the testing, evaluation, and routine maintenance of Army mobile fresh water treatment systems to ensure operational readiness, water quality, and safety standards. The technician will assist senior personnel and engineers in deploying, operating, and testing mobile water purification units, with the primary objective of evaluating their performance in producing potable water from fresh water sources under simulated field conditions. This position is located on-site in Warren, MI.

Requirements

Associates Degree or other 2-year technical degree in a related discipline and 0 years of experience; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience.
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with standard hand tools.
Ability to read and follow detailed technical manuals and test plans.
Must be able to attain a US DoD Secret security clearance (therefore MUST be a US Citizen).

Responsibilities

Assist in the setup, calibration, operation, and tear-down of mobile water treatment systems during testing phases.
Collect water samples and perform basic chemical and physical analysis (e.g., pH, turbidity, chlorine residual, total dissolved solids) under supervision.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on pumps, reverse osmosis membranes, multimedia filters, hoses, and generators associated with the water treatment units.
Record operational metrics (pressure, flow rates), test results, and maintenance actions accurately into facility logs and digital databases.
Adhere to all facility safety guidelines, environmental regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) during testing evolutions.
