About The Position

The City of Roseville is hiring a Water Treatment Plant Operator Grade II or Grade III in its Environmental Utilities Department. The role supports continuous operation of the City's water treatment facility by monitoring system performance and SCADA systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the treatment and distribution of high-quality water. The position works a 24-hour rotating schedule: two consecutive 24-hour shifts (48 hours total), followed by four days off (96 hours). The current vacancy is regular full-time. The recruitment may also be used to fill future regular, limited-term, or temporary vacancies. Requirements

For Grade II: Two years of increasingly responsible experience operating a water treatment plant, comparable to a City of Roseville Grade I operator.
For Grade III: Two years of increasingly responsible experience operating a water treatment plant, comparable to a City of Roseville Grade II operator.
Completion of twelfth grade, GED, or a higher-level degree.
Valid California driver's license by date of appointment.
Grade II applicants must possess a Water Treatment Plant Operator Grade 2 (T2) certificate issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board.
Grade III applicants must possess a Water Treatment Plant Operator Grade 3 (T3) certificate issued by the California State Water Resources Control Board by date of appointment.
