About The Position

A Water Treatment Chemical Site Coordinator will be responsible for working at a customer's data center in the Reno, NV, area. The Chemical Site Coordinator will solve customer water treatment concerns, perform extensive water treatment lab work, commission new application and system assets, and troubleshoot water treatment and control equipment at a customer's data center. As a Site Coordinator, you will receive an industry competitive salary, expenses, and benefits. In addition, ample technical support is provided along with continuous training. Compensation is based upon experience and the ability to succeed. $100,000 to $130,000+ first year base for a qualified candidate. Plus a year end bonus! Requirements

  • A technical degree such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Paper Science, or Water Resources.
  • A 4 year technical degree in the sciences.
  • Experience in the water treatment business (or chemical related field) and interest in learning advanced water treatment technologies.
  • Supervisory experience and basic knowledge in management practices and procedures.
  • Ability to perform all site activities (testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, chemical applications, etc) independently with only remote support with demonstrated ability to work independently and resolve complex operational challenges.
  • Detail-oriented, adhere to safety protocols, and be able to lift 50 pounds wearing PPE in all weather conditions.
  • Must live in or near the Reno, NV, area and be familiar with water, process and cooling systems, and pretreatment technologies.

  • Outside industrial sales experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity With Industrial Cooling Systems
  • Knowledge and Proficiency with Lab Procedures, Water Equipment, & Water Chemistry
  • Ability to Provide Virtual Presentations to Group

Responsibilities

  • Safe conduct of all work onsite.
  • Solve customers’ water problems.
  • Treat industrial cooling systems to keep them energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
  • Perform extensive, detailed water testing & analyses.
  • Troubleshoot water treatment and control equipment.
  • Help deliver on customer KPIs and promote Garratt-Callahan solutions including proprietary chemical blends, equipment, & monitoring technology.
  • Pursue cost-savings initiatives that result in power, water, time, and/or labor savings.
  • Conduct regular meetings with all client stakeholders.
  • Commission newly installed assets and control equipment.
  • Report directly to the Technical Program Manager submitting weekly reports on all Site related activities, program performance, personnel issues, and/or customer communications.
  • Some travel may be required for training and support.
