About The Position
The role of the Water Spider in Lean Manufacturing is to be present on the production floor at all times. They monitor stock supplies around workstations, replenish where necessary, communicate shortages to management, and overall support the optimization of the work systems. In addition, in the efforts to reduce variability in the production process, Water Spiders help remove waste from the operators, shorten process lead times, and improve process efficiency.
Requirements
- Ability to use calibers
- Ability to use micrometers
- Ability to use other measuring tools to check parts over the entire facility
Responsibilities
- Monitor stock supplies around workstations
- Replenish stock supplies where necessary
- Communicate shortages to management
- Support the optimization of work systems
- Help remove waste from operators

- Use calibers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to check parts over the entire facility
