Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in hydrology and water resources engineering.
  • Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain and lift/carry up to 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Completed coursework or prior experience in civil engineering projects, including fluid mechanics, open-channel hydraulics, and/or stormwater management.
  • Working knowledge and experience with GIS, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
  • Familiarity with NPDES municipal, industrial, and/or construction stormwater regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Previous experience with construction observation and/or fieldwork.
  • Strong public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support members of the Water Resources team.
  • Assist with analysis and design of storm sewer collection systems.
  • Perform hydraulic modeling and stormwater BMP modeling.
  • Support stormwater compliance projects and SWPPP development.
  • Prepare project documentation, including technical design reports, engineering calculations, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
