About The Position

AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern for our office in Austin, Texas to support our Water Resources practice in the Austin Metro Area and Central Texas region. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing specific tasks and limited portions of broader assignments and will receive close supervision, guidance, and mentoring from experienced engineers in the office. This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field, and must have completed at least 2 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
  • Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the following software: AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS.
  • Experience/interest in one or more of the following areas: hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, green infrastructure / low impact development, and civil infrastructure design.
