As a Water Resources Engineering Intern on our Water Infrastructure team in Santa Ana, CA, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Working alongside experienced engineers and project managers, you'll have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects while developing technical skills that will prepare you for a career in water resources engineering.

Requirements

• 3rd or 4th year current college student pursuing a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited program.
• Strong interest in water resources, water infrastructure, or civil engineering.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles and design concepts.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Previous internship or project experience in civil or water engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other engineering design software.
• Coursework or experience related to water, wastewater, hydraulics, hydrology, or infrastructure design.
• Candidates from local universities/colleges are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and preparation of plans for water, wastewater, and related infrastructure projects.
• Assist with engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering software to develop project deliverables.
• Gather and analyze technical information, plans, maps, and project data.
• Participate in site visits, field investigations, and project meetings as opportunities arise.
• Work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers while learning industry standards and best practices.
