About The Position

RS&H is currently seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineer to join our team in either our St. Charles or Chicago, IL office. We are looking for someone with the following experience: Watershed delineation and determination of hydrological parameters, Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, Stormwater drainage analysis and design, Experience using ICPR, SWMMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8, SRH-2D, and ArcGIS products, Plan production utilizing OpenRoads Designer, SUDA, and/or Civil 3D, Prior experience with IDOT projects, Preparation of Contract Plans, Specifications, Estimates, and Permit Applications.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program and minimum seven years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer.
Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
Proficient in production software, construction document production, and the preparation of engineering reports.
Experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, team members, and other key stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Experience using ICPR, SWMMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8, SRH-2D, and ArcGIS products
Prior experience with IDOT projects
Additional certifications like a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM)
Completed advanced training in SRH-2D

Responsibilities

Watershed delineation and determination of hydrological parameters
Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
Stormwater drainage analysis and design
Plan production utilizing OpenRoads Designer, SUDA, and/or Civil 3D
Preparation of Contract Plans, Specifications, Estimates, and Permit Applications
Providing technical guidance to junior-level staff, including reviewing others' work for technical accuracy.
