In the role of Water Resources Coordinator/EIT, we'll count on you to focus on water resources projects including flood risk reduction, levees, dam and spillway rehabilitation, flood control, channel restoration/rehabilitation, grade control structures, wetland and lake restoration, stormwater detention and conveyance, and riverine structures. You will work under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities. You will focus on hydraulics and hydrologic modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentation. You will produce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies. You will also perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CAD software including AutoCAD Civil3D and/or Bentley ORD
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to receive Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate upon 12 months of employment. Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
  • Familiarity with H&H design software including HEC-HMS/RAS, SWMM, or other channel/conduit hydraulic analysis software
