Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for an Assembly I position located in the Booneville, MS facility. This position will include basic assembly operations with processes that are repetitive with minimal complexity and variation.
Requirements
- Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data).
- Required to read/write and interpret documents.
Nice To Haves
- Prior use of hoists.
- Knowledge of engines and components.
- Experience with assembly /disassembly tooling (hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, etc).
Responsibilities
- Work in a fast-paced, safety and quality focused team environment to perform various assembly processes.
- Knowledge and adherence to contamination control guidelines.
- Will require print reading skills and quality checks, as defined by standard work.
- Will use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, gages, hoists, presses, and other tools as necessary.
- Will be required to follow production schedules.
- Will be required to utilize various computer systems including MES, BIQ, Pinpoint and Epix to reference work instructions, prints and perform data entry.
- May require utilizing overhead cranes/hoists, and/or electric pallet jack to move parts in and out of area.
- All operators will adhere to Built in Safety guidelines.
- Operator should have attention to detail and be self-motivated.
- Operator is expected to cross train in other areas of operations to provide flexibility.
- Candidate will work in an environment without close supervision.
- Cross training in other positions within Salary Grade 1 may be required based upon basic qualifications and physical requirements being met. Those position could include: Cleaning 1, Disassembly 1 and Logistics 1.
