About The Position

Caterpillar Remanufacturing is seeking an Assembly I for their Booneville, MS facility. This role involves basic assembly operations that are repetitive with minimal complexity and variation. The position is on the 2nd shift and offers a night shift premium. Requirements

  • Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data).
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
  • Must pass background screening, drug and alcohol screening, and post-offer medical questionnaire.
  • Any current agency workers must have worked the required 300 hours to be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior use of hoists.
  • Knowledge of engines and components.
  • Experience with assembly/disassembly tooling (hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, etc).

Responsibilities

  • Perform various assembly processes in a fast-paced, safety and quality-focused team environment.
  • Adhere to contamination control guidelines.
  • Perform print reading and quality checks as defined by standard work.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, torque tools, gages, hoists, presses, and other necessary tools.
  • Follow production schedules.
  • Utilize computer systems (MES, BIQ, Pinpoint, Epix) to reference work instructions, prints, and perform data entry.
  • May utilize overhead cranes/hoists and/or electric pallet jacks to move parts.
  • Adhere to Built in Safety guidelines.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and be self-motivated.
  • Cross-train in other areas of operations for flexibility.
  • Work in an environment without close supervision.
  • Cross-train in other positions within Salary Grade 1, such as Cleaning 1, Disassembly 1, and Logistics 1, as required.
