About The Position

The Water Processing Technician is responsible for operating the water treatment and processing equipment as well as monitoring, testing, and optimizing the water used in Cirkul’s bottling operations. This person plays a critical part in ensuring our water meets strict quality, safety, and formulation standards before it ever reaches the line. This role oversees incoming water, water treatment, and processing, including all equipment, testing, and batching of water to meet Cirkul’s product specifications. Working at the intersection of quality, operations, and food safety, the Water Quality Technician helps ensure every bottle starts with perfectly balanced, high-quality water.

Requirements

• Experience in water treatment, beverage manufacturing, food & beverage, utilities, or quality/lab environments
• Familiarity with water testing methods (pH, TDS, hardness, alkalinity, conductivity, etc.)
• Understanding of GMP and food safety environments
• Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping skills
• Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing setting
• Ability to follow SOPs and troubleshoot technical equipment

Nice To Haves

• Experience with filtration systems, reverse osmosis (RO), UV, or mineral dosing systems preferred
• Mechanical skills including performing CIPs, replacing membranes, pump seals, small pumps, and correcting leaks.

Responsibilities

• Ensures equipment is operating at sufficient capacity to support the bottling operation.
• Ensures water consistently meets Cirkul quality and formulation standards
• Minimizes production downtime by proactively identifying and correcting water issues
• Maintains accurate, audit-ready documentation and testing records
• Supports safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations
• Owns daily monitoring and performance of water treatment and mineralization systems
• Proactively flags trends or abnormalities in water quality
• Maintains a clean, organized, and compliant work area
• Treats water quality as a critical control point in the production process
• Determines when mineral adjustments or treatment changes are required
• Escalates out-of-spec conditions and helps implement corrective actions
• Prioritizes testing and system checks based on production needs
• Uses data and SOPs to guide technical decisions
• Works closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams
• Partners with QA on testing protocols and compliance standards
• Communicates clearly across shifts to ensure continuity
• Supports a team-first, safety-first plant environment
• Follows GMP, food safety, and plant safety standards at all times
• Maintains precise, reliable testing and documentation practices
• Consistently delivers accurate data that teams can rely on
• Demonstrates integrity in quality and compliance processes
• Understands that water quality directly impacts product taste and brand trust
• Helps ensure every bottle meets Cirkul’s standards for quality and consistency
