About The Position

Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division is seeking a Disassembly I position at their Booneville, MS facility. This role involves disassembling engines and/or components and performing correct sorting of components. The work environment is fast-paced, safety and quality focused. Cross-training in other Salary Grade 1 positions such as Cleaning 1, Assembly 1, and Logistics 1 may be required. The position requires the use of various hand and power tools, and potentially overhead hoists, manual pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and electric pallet jacks for moving large components. Respirator use may be required for detailing/cleaning. Responsibilities may include material handling, unloading parts, sorting incoming material, component disassembly, and data entry. Operators will utilize computer systems, including email, and adhere to Built-in-Safety guidelines. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has attention to detail, and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data).
Required to read/write and interpret documents.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
Prior use of hoists.
Knowledge of engines and components.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with basic tooling (hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, etc.).
Must be able to handle high volume fast-paced operation.
May work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
May walk, squat and bend for intervals of 15-30 minutes.
Must be able to wear proper PPE.
May require wearing a detail suit and/or respirator.
Will require respirator physical and training.
May be required to lift/push/pull heavy parts up to 30 lbs. multiple times per shift.
Must be able to stand for up to 10+ hours per shift.
Any current agency workers applying to this position must have worked the required 300 hours to be considered.

Utilize various computer systems including email on a regular basis.
Adhere to Built-in-Safety guidelines.
Demonstrate attention to detail and be self-motivated.
Work in a team environment.
Work in an environment without close supervision.
