About The Position

SERVPRO of Minnetonka is hiring an experienced Water Mitigation Technician to help homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, and storm damage. You will respond to emergency losses, perform water extraction and structural drying, operate professional restoration equipment, and guide customers through challenging situations with care and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, push, pull, and lift throughout the workday
  • Comfortable working on ladders and in crawl spaces, attics, and other confined areas
  • Willing and able to participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Experience in water mitigation, property restoration, construction, cleaning, or a related trade

  • IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification

Responsibilities

  • Respond to residential and commercial water-damage emergencies
  • Perform water extraction, controlled demolition, structural drying, cleaning, and mitigation services
  • Set up, operate, monitor, and remove drying and dehumidification equipment
  • Take moisture readings and evaluate drying progress
  • Inspect job sites and ensure work meets SERVPRO quality standards
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with customers throughout the restoration process
  • Document job progress accurately using photos, moisture readings, measurements, and daily notes
  • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, tools, and inventory
  • Follow OSHA requirements, safety standards, and company procedures
  • Work closely with project managers, office staff, and other technicians to keep projects moving efficiently
