About The Position

Clean Joe Restoration is seeking an experienced Water Mitigation Specialist to join our restoration team. We are looking for a knowledgeable, dependable professional who understands the complete water mitigation and structural drying process and can confidently handle residential and commercial losses. This position requires hands-on water mitigation experience and IICRC certification. The ideal candidate can assess water losses, establish proper drying plans, document jobs accurately, communicate professionally with customers, and ensure work is completed according to industry standards. We want someone who understands that mitigation is more than removing wet materials and setting equipment. Our Water Mitigation Specialist should understand why a structure is drying, how to verify that it is drying properly, and when adjustments need to be made. The right candidate will be experienced, organized, safety-conscious, comfortable working independently when necessary, and committed to providing excellent service during what can be a stressful time for our customers. Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of water mitigation/restoration experience
  • IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification required
  • Strong knowledge of water extraction, structural drying, moisture mapping, demolition, and equipment placement
  • Experience using moisture meters and other water-damage assessment equipment
  • Ability to properly document mitigation jobs and drying progress
  • Understanding of water categories, classes of loss, psychometrics, and drying principles
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift and move restoration equipment and perform physically demanding work
  • Ability to work in occupied homes, commercial buildings, basements, crawl spaces, and other restoration environments
  • Professional communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to participate in an emergency/on-call rotation

Responsibilities

  • Respond to residential and commercial water‑damage emergencies.
  • Perform water extraction, demolition, containment, cleaning, and structural drying.
  • Evaluate affected materials and determine the correct mitigation plan.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and other drying equipment.
  • Take and record moisture readings throughout the job.
  • Set drying goals and adjust equipment as conditions change.
  • Identify possible mold or environmental issues and report them appropriately.
  • Complete daily logs, photos, notes, and all required job documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, adjusters, and other stakeholders.
  • Follow IICRC standards and company procedures.
  • Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized.
  • Assist with emergency and after‑hours losses when needed.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and the mitigation team to ensure successful job completion
