About The Position

We are looking to hire someone for a commercial restoration and construction maintenance position in the Tampa, FL metro. Time will be split between performing various construction tasks with an emphasis on finish work (drywall, painting, acoustic ceilings, trim carpentry, framing, etc.) and restoration response (emergency response, containment, demo, etc.). The applicant will need to be self-sufficient in how to problem solve and make repairs in a variety of trades. The applicant will be based out of Tampa, FL but some travel throughout Florida and possibly other states may be required. The applicant must be a great communicator with clients, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and company management. Applicants must be self-motivated and self-sufficient when it comes to all construction tasks. Applicants must also maintain a positive attitude. This is not an entry-level position or apprentice position. We're hiring skilled carpenters and tradespeople.

Requirements

  • Proficient at drywall installation
  • Proficient at drywall finishing
  • Proficient at painting
  • Proficient at caulking
  • Proficient at minor electrical
  • Proficient at minor plumbing
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Legal to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in rough and finish carpentry
  • Experience in casework/millwork installation
  • Experience in window and door installation
  • Experience in metal framing
  • Experience with acoustic ceilings
  • Experience with wallpaper and flooring
  • Restoration construction/reconstruction experience
  • Experience leading crews and/or as a supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Performing various construction tasks with an emphasis on finish work (drywall, painting, acoustic ceilings, trim carpentry, framing, etc.)
  • Restoration response (emergency response, containment, demo, etc.)
  • Problem-solving and making repairs in a variety of trades
  • Emergency response and proper protocols
  • Water extraction
  • Setup and monitoring of equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, etc)
  • Setup of containment
  • Taking detailed moisture readings, humidity levels, and mapping
  • Determining what building components need to be removed and performing those demolition tasks
