About The Position

Peak Landscape is hiring a Water Management Technician to own irrigation performance across our commercial portfolio. This is a field-based role focused on making sure every site is watering the right amount, in the right place, at the right time. You will be in the field daily, walking sites, catching problems before the client does, and adjusting programming to keep landscapes healthy while reducing water waste. This is not a repair-only position. You will be the eyes and the brain of water management on your accounts.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on commercial irrigation experience
  • Solid working knowledge of controllers, valves, heads, nozzles, and basic hydraulics
  • Comfortable programming both conventional and smart controllers
  • Ability to diagnose a coverage problem in the field and explain what caused it
  • Strong attention to detail. This job is about catching what other people walk past
  • Comfortable with a smartphone or tablet for documentation and reporting
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine site audits on assigned commercial properties, walking each zone to verify coverage and performance
  • Identify dry spots, wet spots, runoff, overspray, and stressed plant material, and determine root cause
  • Inspect and test controllers, sensors, valves, and heads during scheduled site visits
  • Adjust and modify controller programming based on site conditions, plant material, soil type, exposure, and seasonal need
  • Update run times, start times, and cycle/soak settings as conditions change through the season
  • Program and manage smart controllers and remote irrigation platforms
  • Document findings with photos, notes, and clear recommendations for each site
  • Flag repairs and larger issues to the account team, with enough detail for a proposal to be built
  • Track water usage trends and identify sites that are trending high
  • Coordinate with Asset Managers and crews to make sure adjustments actually get executed in the field
  • Support enhancement and repair work as needed during peak season
