This position represents the consolidation of water logistics activities and the establishment and maintenance of a defined network to execute commercial and logistical strategies related to fluid hauling management. This function allows Oxy field operations to concentrate and implement efficiencies on other categories. The role is responsible for executing fluid hauling and water disposal strategy by coordinating assets between Oxy and vendors to meet demands established by Operations in a safe, timely, and cost-efficient manner. The job entails a heavy focus on networking with Oxy field operations and trucking companies with excellent service quality. Business acumen is required to understand trucking companies’ rates, management, and integrity to ensure they correspond with Oxy’s culture for a long-term partnership. The job emphasis is on logistics, including the utilization of assets closest to the area of work needed while considering and scheduling other used assets in the area to cover the jobs, ensuring Oxy can meet its safety, production, downtime, and cost goals, including any impacts from other third-party contractors. Coordination with logistics coordinators from other areas is required to maintain appropriate utilization of resources. The position must also maintain, grow, and strengthen relations with existing vendors, as well as evaluate and recommend the onboarding of new vendors at all levels of hierarchy, including but not limited to drivers, dispatchers, supervisors, yard managers, and district managers. Responsible for auditing of field tickets and management and approval of invoices for fluid hauling and water disposal work performed for Oxy. Problem-solving, decision-making abilities, multi-tasking, creativity, and teamwork are required. This is a position that will split time between the field and office. This position will be required to learn the integral systems at Oxy and analyze data for better decisions in the water hauling division. They will need to have a strong understanding of IronSight, SAP, WEP, Cygnet, Measurement, Iconic, PI, and other applications to better understand impacts of the water division. A strong emphasis is placed on analytics and the use of graphs and data, using systems to understand impact and improvements in the overall water department.
