Water Leak Detection Technician/Plumber
About The Position
Leak Technician with a Concentration in Plumbing - Job Summary: American Leak Detection of Maryland is seeking out highly motivated individuals looking for a full-time career as a Water Leak Detection Technician and Plumber to perform electronic water leak detections and plumbing repairs. Base Salary $25-$30 per hour starting pay (equivalent to $52k - $62k annually) Journey Plumber license holders may be eligible for higher range Advancement and commission opportunities from there. We enjoy developing our people and providing comprehensive training in state-of-the-art methods and techniques using the best equipment. We also provide all the tools you’ll need to perform your job and serve our customers. In addition, you will have a fully stocked company vehicle for business use.
Requirements
- Current Driver’s License, with a good driving record
- Ability to create well written and concise reports to effectively describe the leak issue
- Self-motivated, enjoy working independently, organized, and enjoys being self-directed
- Ability to swim
- Neat appearance, have a high standard of professionalism and character
- Ability to take on physical work and capable of moving/lifting up to 100 pounds
- High School or equivalent / some college education
- Has knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Multiple years of plumbing as a Journeyman or an Apprentice
- Enjoy being in a job that rewards intuitive, hardworking, efficient, people who have a keen eye for detail
- Mechanically inclined, knows how to use a variety of tools
- A mechanical, electronics, and construction background is a plus
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Exceptional team player: energetic, goal-oriented, positive, optimistic, and great attitude!

Responsibilities
- Leak detection on interior and exterior residential & commercial properties, pools and spas to diagnose the cause and origin of concealed leaks, structural leaks and water infiltration damage
- Repair plumbing pipes and drain systems
- Communicate with management, colleagues, and customers
- Provide professional courteous customer service
- Work outdoors & away from the office
- Master underground line locating, drain cameras, acoustic, ultrasonic, and infrared technologies
