About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Infrastructure Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Henderson, NV office. Your role will involve assisting with the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents for water infrastructure projects. You will support engineering studies and planning activities by collecting data, performing basic analyses, and completing routine calculations using established methods. Additionally, you will assist in evaluating design alternatives and documenting findings under the guidance of experienced engineers. You will prepare portions of technical reports, permit application materials, and project documentation for review by senior staff. You will also assist with data collection, research, and analysis related to site conditions, regulatory requirements, and project feasibility. Support will be provided for construction-phase activities by reviewing project records, tracking progress, and assisting with document management. Finally, you will create basic graphic presentations, exhibits, and supporting materials for project deliverables.

Requirements

  • Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil or environmental engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
  • Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
  • Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
