About The Position

Parametrix is seeking a Water Engineer to join their team in Yuma, Arizona. This role will support a water utility client with a major water and wastewater infrastructure improvement program. The position involves impactful construction projects and close collaboration with field teams, contractors, design teams, and client representatives. The role is a long-term project position, expected to last between six months and two years, with a 50/50 split between field and office work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience supporting water and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Experience with water and wastewater engineering design, construction management, construction inspection, or a combination of these areas.
• Familiarity with municipal water and wastewater facilities, including pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities, storage reservoirs, and related infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, owners, designers, and field personnel during construction activities.
• Ability to review plans, specifications, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation.
• Comfortable working in active construction environments and performing site visits in varying weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, permits, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, client representatives, designers, and project stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
• Identify and communicate field issues, assisting with problem resolution and coordination between project team members.
• Work on a variety of water and wastewater facilities, including pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities, storage reservoirs, and related infrastructure.
